How do I decide if my windows XP edition is a 32-bit OR 64- bit??

Download CPU-Z and check if it says x86-64/AMD64/EMT64
CPU-Z can be downloaded here http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

You could also see what the model is of your CPu and check its website.

If you CPU is Dual Core then its definately 64 Bit

Start> Run> cmd
type
systeminfo
