Hi,

When I click on the Windows Firewall option in the control panel I get the problem attached as a screen shot. Any ideas?

Thanks

Andrew

Go to Start/Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/Administrative Tools/ and double click on Services. Scroll down to Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing and see if you have that enabled and running. If it is disabled, right click and click properties, then enable it and start it up.

I personally do not like the Win firewall so i use Zone Alarm.

Unless you particularly want the XP Firewall, download and install a third party one because most will block incoming and outgoing data, against the XP firewall only blocking incoming data

http://www.personalf...all.comodo.com/

Most third party firewalls will turn the XP Firewall off

Has there ever been a third party firewall installed
