Hey Guru's,

My Compaq Presario R3000 has a built in Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN card, but starting about a month ago it stopped recognizing wireless networks. Even if my laptop is sitting on top of a wi-fi transmitter it still shows "No wireless networks were found in range".

I've run the repair utility, checked the device manager and rolled back and re updated the driver, but I still get the "Wireless Network Connection is Not connected" message.

P.S. I haven't used my laptop's wi-fi for about six months, because of a bad power inverter in my screen. It seemed like a fairly easy fix so I did the repair myself. Could I have possibly damaged something?

Do you have any suggestions?

Not trying to rush anyone, but I was hoping to get some help with my comp troubles. I've noticed that some others who have started threads after I did have already been assisted.
