What version is to be used as our business standard?

In the Business category, there will are three editions: Windows Vista Small Business, Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Enterprise.

Minimum hardware to just run it you need 800Mhz cpu and 512Mb of ram, and to run it with all its goodies you need 1Ghz and a gig of ram with at least 128mb of video ram on a dx9 capable video card.

Release date will be january dont know the exact date, When dell ship is up to them not a dell user so dont know ild imagine straight away and they might run XP as an option for a little while enterprice customers have more choice over the OS though.

Standards wise see above its not all that bad most current systems are up to it even alot of older systems will do it.

Costs biggest will be DX9 hardware in low end systems with integrated dx9 has been the standard for a while now in home and more expensive systems but basic enterprise systems often just cone with bog standard intel integrated and the older integrated arent dx9 capable, but it isnt strictly required you just wont get the advanced visual affects.

Retraining i wouldnt expect to need alot of retraining the UI is enhanced but operates in a similar way to XP if you have used any windows vista will be usable and people with computer experience wont need alot, But some may need retraining depending on the role.

New users shouldnt need retraining the new features arent complicated alot of them are things people use apps to do to XP anyway pretty basic stuff some new some improvements in old stuff.
