My explorer got hijacked a couple of days ago. I followed the posted instructions about how to alleviate most problems. It got rid of a whole bunch of crap, but i still have two minor issues remaining.
When i open windows or internet explorer i get a run time error.
"Win32 Application
Run-time error '5':
Invalid procedure call or argument
OK"
I'm not a computer expert, but i know a little bit, and my previous problem involved ads and stuff being triggered on explorer startup. I presume this error, is a result of 'some' of that infection being removed, but a remaining startup command or some such still being called on. I'm hoping if you guys and gals help me clean up the about:blank issue the error issue will also be resolved in whatever we remove.
The other issue is simply that my homepage gets hijacked to about:blank
