ok so i had my moms friend do somethings on my computer to make it faster. well he went to services.msc n changed somthings n made it faster....for a little while but i had to go back n put some of the things he changed back like the themes n scheduled tasks that he shut off but theres one thing thats still bugging me. i always go on myspace n dowloading music from the music pages but now since he did that i keep gettting this: <br>

without knowing what he turned off...it's pretty much gonna not be easy for us...any chance that you could get him to come back over and turn the stuff back on?

A bit tedious I know, but you could manually check all the services that are set to 'Disabled' (which you can see at a glance by looking at the list) then double-click each of them in turn to see what programs or devices depend on them. Then change any likely candidates to 'Automatic'.

I DONT REALLY NO THOUGH THE ONES THAT ARE DISABLED I DONT THINK WOULD AFFECT DOWNLOADS .....IS THERE ANYWAY YOU CAN TELL ME WICH ONES WOULD AFFECT IT?

my bad the caps lock was on. and i dont know b/c she asked if he was going to finish it and he said theres nothing wrong with it

yea but i duno if i want him to do it tho b/c everything he did last time i had to go back n change b/c it was something i needed. n he does my moms computer for her n hers keeps crashing like every 3 months....soo...yea.. btw he also created a configuration thing called boot.ini ....can u tell me why?

HE didn't create boot.ini...that's a system file that windows uses to load itself...he may have modified it...but he didn't create it

i'm not asking you to get him to come over and speed your machine up again but if he broke it he needs to come back and undo what he did do
