Choppy DVD

So when I play dvd's with my quickplay it works fine....but when my computer is on and windows XP is running....the dvd goes all choppy.....it happeded suddenly one night as i switched from one dvd to another....

my friend said it may be my PF Usage which is 410MB and at the bottom it says 411M/1228M (I dont know if that means anything...)

if anyone has ideas of what the problem is or what i can do to fix it I would GREATLY appreciate it.....
