Hi idiotech

Reboot into safemode

Empty your recycle bin
C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1532886375-1203367206-2587936551-1006\Dc1.dll

Run killboxand click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot.
Paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.
The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.
Let the system reboot.

Dc1.dll wasn't in the folder C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1532886375-1203367206-2587936551-1006\ but I did make sure the recycle bin was emptied in safe mode

Hi idiotech

Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'.
Next click on 'Replace on Reboot' and check the box underneath that. For each of the following files below, check the box that says 'Unregister .dll Before Deleting' if it's not grayed out.
Copy and paste each of the following into the top line (hitting the X button for each file - choose NO when it asks if you want to reboot until you get to the last file to delete):

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

[*]Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Dyttc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\??chost.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: Ebates - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

[*]Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\??chost.exe<--Delete this file
C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\<--Delete this folder

Exit Explorer,

Reboot as normal afterwards.

The next step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Hi idiotech

Your HJT.log is clean,but I am not happy with that the three file's that panda finds below.

Have a search off your system are the following file's there ?
C:\WINDOWS\ceres.dll<--Delete this
C:\WINDOWS\delprot.ini<--Delete this file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\x3yy<--delete this file

Please post back with the information

I found and deleted the files and then restarted my computer.

After running the panda scan it came up totally clean ;)

Download the ccleaner
I use this Program and is setup like this all boxs are check. Then chose Auto start.
Now run the ccleaner

Clean out all temp files in Mozilla, Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer: Tools/ Internet Options/ General/ Temporary internet files/ Delete Files (NOTE, that this may take very long!). You can also set the memory limit to about 80 MB at the Settings.

Mozilla: Edit/ Options/ Extended/ Cache/ Clear Cache

Turn of system restore
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore

Defrag your hard drive turn system restore back on and create a new restore point.

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use). Click Here
