Hello-
When I open explorer, my window comes up with that "windows" icon for my files. Then one by one they start to appear with the photoshop icon, but I can't do anything until all icons are finished displaying?

The same is true if I am in Photoshop and choose the "open" command. I can't choose a file until all icons finish drawing there icons?

I don't remember doing anything or adding any applications lately?

Is this a RAM issue?

I have XP home Dell 4500 P4 648 RAM 40 GB drive.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi jdimauro...

You might run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter from System Tools to see if it will speed up the process.
