Hello everyone,

I am having computer issues. Just a couple of days ago, my computer started to act funny and it began getting really slow and so I got McAfee anti-virus, low and behold, there was a trojan and lots of spyware and adware on my computer. I got rid of the trojan and all that other junk and it's better now. I also downloaded Ccleaner and that found over 500 issues on my computer which I had fixed and it's been doing well. But, every once in a while I get some type of error message when I start up the computer that says something along the lines of "mwiz.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".... when I do a search for that on my computer it finds nothing?! What is mwiz.exe? I know because of the extention it some type of executable file, and I'm guessing it's something for microsoft? If ANYONE knows, please let me know!! I've searched the internet and found nothing! Thank you so much for your help, in advance!

http://vil.nai.com/v...nt/v_100349.htm

look at the characteristics part of it and thats the only thing remotly close, nwiz.exe

also in relation

http://www.symantec..../...-99&tabid=2

http://www.symantec..../...-99&tabid=2

have no idea if any of these have to deal with it... if she says mwiz.exe, well she typed it twice so its probably not a misspell. Maybe a virus choosing a random name to look like mwiz.exe.

nwiz.exe is a part of NVidia's Nview features installable alongside it's graphics hardware products. This application will give the user access to additional features which allow the configuration of up to 32 monitors on a host, or to expand the desktop across many monitors. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling this is down to user preference.

the above mentioned nwiz.exe is for Nvidia users
see below for the bad guys
