Hi all, could use some help for this one, probably a simple solution...

I downloaded the .exe file for quicktime... most recent version from apple.com.... and I had a problem in the middle of the download and the download stopped half way.... I went back and redownloaded it and installed Quicktime. The problem is I was able to delete the file that I redownloaded, but I can't delet the file that stopped half way on. I have gone into properties to make sure it wasn't set as READ ONLY, but it is not. When I try and delete it, it pauses then pops up a message saying: Cannot Delete QuickTime Installer: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using this file and try again.... I have gone through my task manager and ended all the processes running under any users, I have even attempted ending some system processes and nothing has worked.... is there a trick to getting rid of files like these???

Oh I forgot to add I also checked the folder the file is in, and made sure there weren't any hidden files that could be protecting it, but there are none.

Download Unlocker from my signature, install with the add to context menu option, reboot

Right click the file, click Unlocker, choose delete
