6 channel onboard notworking?

hi i just bought a 5.1 surround system and i hooked it all up and only my sub and center work. and thats kinda, they dont work in games or while in the internet only from windows media player do they work. i have been told by many people its the drivers but i downloaded the latest drivers. i have 5.1 surround setup in the sound options and it still doesnt show all the volumes for all the differnt speakers. please help me guys pleaseeee

i have a biostar m7vit 800
with c media audio in it
my speakers are the logitech z-5300 e
your help is greatly apreachated :whistling:
