Hi Mehdi...

Take a look in Device Manager. Is there a yellow ! or ? displayed next to the cd drive?

Ok...

Let's uninstall the device and let Windows reinstall it. From Device Manager, right click on the cd drive and choose "Uninstall". Accept the change and reboot. Windows should detect the drive as new hardware and install the drivers for it automatically.

Let me know how it goes.

Let's take a look at the upper and lower filters for the cd-rom problem. Click Start then Run and type regedit...click "Ok"

In the left pane, expand (click +) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, then CurrentControlSet, then Control, then Class, and click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} In the right pane, are UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters listed?

Right click on LowerFilters and choose "Delete". Accept the change and reboot. Try the cd-drive.

It's starting to sound like the drive has gone bad...it happens.

You might try the manufacturer's website and see if they have a firmware update available for your drive. At least, that would be the logical next step.
