I understand how to get into the firewall tab in the norton internet security options but, i do not know how to find out my port number. I see a list of commonly used port numbers though.

XBox..................There are known problems with XBox ....
Live Network, see Cannot Log On XBox with Router.
port
88
3074
(XBox incorrectly says this is unnecessary in all cases.)

I understand the ports now. When the error message comes up while downloading the xbox 360 software, you click help and it lists the ports. I have added these ports to the list and will try to install again.
