I have a Acer aspire 5000 laptop bought at Circuit City 2-06, one of their tech came to the house to install the wireless router and set up the password. For the past month I have had a limited connectivity and unable to repair. I was having problems with my cable connection and reset the modem for my desktop which is infected with a trojan horse which Norton is unable to fix and now desktop will not boot up. Currently using my wired connection for internet access with the wireless router unplugged. I had contacted
Circuit City support but service period had expired. D-link support states that router is working.

What steps do I need to do to re-establish wireless connection, How do I reset the password?

Thanks for any help

Hi. On most routers, there is a small button on the back, which if you push in (sometimes you may need to push and hold it in for about 30 seconds) then it will restore back to its default manufacturer settings. You will need to see the manual for the router to be sure.
