I have Windows XP SP2 with IE6. My computer's been acting very oddly lately. My friend said it sounded like a worm when I told her that my "I386" is over 1G. She said I'd probably have to reformat the C: drive. I'd like to try to fix it without going to such extremes.

I've had other strange things happen on my computer like the Google pop-up telling me to sign, but it doesn't have the right user name. I'm also fighting to use the Internet. I keep getting "page cannot be displayed" not only on the whole page, but also within a page.

I've done what I was told to do in "You Must Read This Before...". They all came up with nothing.

Anyway, I truly hope that someone can help me. Since I'm homebound, my computer is my lifeline to the outside world. I do everything from grocery shopping to paying bills. In other words, my computer's a necessity for me.
