Do you want ME or XP?

If you want it restored to the way you had it when you BOUGHT it, you would use ME and you will have a WindowsME machine....

If you're asking can you use the Home XP upgrade disk to install a clean version of XP Home, yes. Simply wipe the drive, reboot with XP Disk, and about three minutes into the process it will ask for proof of a previous OS. You pop in your ME disk, it checks it, then asks for the XP Disk again.
