Hi there and thanks for your reply. This could be really fortunate timing for me (looking at the silver lining always!) as my hdd has just died (spindle mechanism!) and i'm replacing it today with a slighly larger 160gb model. So I have to start installation completely from scratch anyways.


I'm really looking forward to getting Linux up and running and seeing just how good it is (some of my freinds and colleagues swear by it and will not touch windows OS outside of their working environment)
