While surfing the internet my computer locks up and can do nothing till I press reset button to reboot. I always notice that the two computer icons on the bottom right of the screen are shinning bright blue together whenever this freeze happens.

About a month ago I installed a Netgear router but about 2 weeks ago I unplugged it because I felt it was slower & I hadn't yet got my 2nd computer to make use of the wireless router. I have no idea whether this has any effect on my computer freezing up now.

I have Verizon DSL that always worked fine prior to this problem. Any idea what might be causing the freeze would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. You might consider posting your HijackThis logfile in our malware section so that one of our malware specialists can analyze it for you. Good luck :whistling:
