I've been wanting to make my own Music, but since my Dad won't let me learn to play an instrument I'll have to stick to Midis. Anyways, what is the best free Midi composer/editor that doesn't expire and is relatively easy to learn?

EDIT: And I've already tried Google, the ones I found are all trials or cruddy ones that don't work (or both.)

Hi, depending on the type of music you want to compose, you'll might want to try more than what MIDI has to offer you, even if money is tight.
If you're just starting, have a try at some demos for some relatively cheap software like Fruity Loops. Looking for something free to use to compose good music is not really a realistic thing these days.

I just want to make basic Midis, that's all, just as a hobby. I don't have any money to spend for it and I despise trial software because it expires or just plain sucks unless you get the real thing. I had a good one, but it just stopped working for some reason and I couldn't remember the name of it.
