Hello :whistling:

The following two error messages appear intermittently:

1. “The instruction at “OX011638ae” referenced memory at “OX0127d8b4”. The memory could not be read.” Click on ok to terminate the program.
2. When ok is clicked on, a “runtime error 216 at OX012738ae” message appears. Nothing else seems to happen.

In the course of trying to resolve this, the following programs were run at least twice: Clean up; Ad-aware; CW shredder; Spybot S&D; Ewido; Trend Housecall; AVG; TrojanHunter; Xoftspy and Spyware Detector. Only Xoftspy and Spyware Detector showed problems of which only the following from Spyware Detector seemed relevant:

Invalid Run Entry Registry Value

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"NetscapeClient"$$1##

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"Microsoft Works Update Detection"$$1##C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe

Any help or suggestions on what these print outs mean or how to correct this problem will be appreciated. Also, I cannot not find a wkdetect.exe file in the computer or on the Works CD that came with the computer. I also created some Hijackthis logs but am struggling to understand how to read them.

Dell 8200, P4 2.4, 512 Ram

Thank you, Joan
