Ok. I need you to run a few more things for me, so I can make sure there's nothing hiding on us. The HJT and Ewido logs look fine, but that doesn't always mean your pc is totally clean. Please follow these instructions exactly as I have written them. If you have questions during any of this, ask. You should copy these instructions to notepad, and save them on your desktop for easy reference.

1. Download HijackThis to a permanent location
Click here to download HJTsetup.exe

• Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.

2. We must disable the Real-Time Protection feature of Windows Defender for it may interfere with the changes we need to make.

To disable Real-Time Protection:

• Go to "Tools" | "General Settings"
• Scroll down to "Real-time protection options"
• Uncheck "Turn on real-time protection (recommended)"
• Remember to reactivate this feature when we have finished all our work.

3. Produce Uninstall list

• Open HijackThis, click “Open Misc Tools Section”
• Click "Open Uninstall Manager "
• Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

4. Please download Rootkit Revealer (link is at the very bottom of the page)

• Unzip it to your desktop.
• Open the rootkitrevealer folder and double-click rootkitrevealer.exe
• Click the Scan button (bottom right)
• It may take a while to scan (don't do anything while it's running)
• When it's done, go up to File > Save. Choose to save it to your desktop.
• Open rootkitrevealer.txt on your desktop and copy the entire contents and paste them here

5. Post a reply to this thread with a new HJT log, the Uninstall list, and the Rootkit Revealer log.

Both of those logs are ok. What exact problems are you still having? I know NIcholas said that you were locking up earlier. That may be due to the amount of things running on the pc, rather than any malware. Tell me exactly what all is still happening, so I have a better idea of what we need to look at next.

Ok....everytime i go in my pc it does freeze at times...like this morning..and now when i click on somthing on my desk top, it wont pop up..it wont let me go in anything...dont know why, i never had this trouble before..do u think its my spywaye..or i need t do a virus scan..i have not done one for awhile...tell me if i should do one or not ok thx

Instead of scanning with your regular anti virus, I want you to run a Panda Scan for me Melanie. Follow these directions exactly, ok? Don't worry. We'll get you fixed up, I promise. If it turns out not to be a virus (malware) issue, I"ll grab one of my Tech Experts around here to get you sorted out.


Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan

• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button
• Enter your Country
• Enter your State/Province
• Enter your e-mail address and click send
• Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report

OK..WELL I DONT KNOW WHAT MORE TO DO CAUSE MY PC IS ALREEZING UP LATLY..THINGS ARE SLOWER THEN USUAL..NEVER RAN INTO THIS PROBLEM BEFORE..SENCE I GOT THAT DARN EWIDO SPYWARE THING SET UP, OR IT COULD BE SOMTHING ELSE..OR NICHOLAS TOLD ME IS COULD BE MY CONNECTION...WE WERE ON CAM FOR A BIT THEN IT WENT NUTS..KEPT LOSING MY YAHOO CONNECTION AND CRACKLING.....DUNNO WHAT MORE TO TELL YA

Please download and run WinAudit on your machine. Save a report (floppy icon on the toolbar) as an Adobe PDF document (from drop-down menu in "Save" window) and attach the report to an e-mail to me...I will PM you with my address.

It will take me a bit to review the report. In the meantime, please also download, install, and run SpyBot Search and Destroy to get rid of some advertising cookies I spotted in your logs...just to make sure they don't get in our way. Delete anything it finds.

I will post back to this topic once I have had a look at the WinAudit report.
