Please please help me. I have tried to port forward my Router (Linksys) and in doing so seem to have completely mucked it up. The internet will be lighting fast 1 minute then stop completely the next. Then start up again. I have only just finished building it but I did for about a week have no problems. My laptop is in the same network and has no problems. When I first did the port forwarding I got really good download speeds from utorrent. But now utorrent is telling me that I have no longer got an open port. I didn’t think that I had changed anything to affect this. My zone labs firewall seems to have had a lot of hits from what it calls high rated attacks. Has a virus slipped though the net?

If anyone could help me I would be very grateful.

We here at GeeksToGo will not assist you with issues relating to P2P file sharing programs. While many of these programs are-in-and of themselve legal, most things aquired by their use are not. Instead of attempting to differentiate between the legal use of P2P programs and the illegal use thereof, we have decided to stop helping with issues regarding this software. It is also in your best interest to know that many P2P software packages come bundled with spyware/malware/virii and that their use greatly increases the chances of your computer becoming infected. I strongly suggest that you uninstall these programs and refrain from using them at all costs.
