internet explorer error,ox1009397

About every fourth hour during the day that I am using my computer I get this error relating to internet explorer.The instruction at "0x1009397e" referenced memory at "0x00f8c3e8". The memory could not be "read".What does it mean, I cant find info on it anywhere on the internet.I have done all my updates 2 times just to be safe.I am running windows xp pro.I have satellite internet.Could it be part of the problem, because that is all I could get where I moved to.
