I've been having an issue with installing a new printer. It's an HP Deskjet 3910, and when I put in the disk to install the software an error popped up that said "Printer Spooler Error". And when I go to control panel, and press Add New Printer, "Operation could not be completed. The printer spooler service is not running. I had to same problem with my old printer, and that's why I bought a new one. If anyone could help me resolve this problem I would be extremely grateful, and thank you in advance to anyone that wants to take the time to help me. Keep in mind I'm not the best when it comes to computers so try to explain it as simple as posible. Thanks again.

Checkout c:\Documents and Settings\ [insert your code name where your settings are stored]\Start Menu\Programs\ [and find Administrative Tools folder]\services

Tap on it and go down to Print Spooler...tap on it with the right mouse button, down to properties and check to see if there is anything there that you do not think is kosher...is it enabled, is it set to automatic?

Go to start>control panel>down to Printers and double tap to open>double tap on the printer installed > properties> go through the tabs to see if anything is amiss...
