ok. So, I just got a new macbook pro. My ipod is set up with all of my music on my pc (a sony vaio) which had its memory wiped and no longer has any of my music on it...so the only place my music is "living" right now is on my ipod. Not only is this very scary, but if I am correct, you have to wipe and reconfigure your ipod to switch it to using a mac....

is there a way to get my music off of my ipod onto my mac, despite its pc formatting? OR, how can i take my music off of my ipod onto my pc (which I still have, i just don't have the music on my pc) and then transfer it to my mac?

would it just be better to continue using my pc (certainly not the better computer, by far) for my music?

any help you can give me would be GREAT. I'm new to the whole mac thing and loving it, but i'm out of my element and so I'm having a little trouble with it.

thanks!
Darrah
