I just moved and some where in moving the computer and/or ISP I can't get my wireless connection back. I know very little about computers. I'm using my laptop (a Toshiba Satelite?) as my primary computer and trying to reconnect to my wireless. Sounds simple. I have the connection when I'm wired directly to the cable modem, I have the connection when the router is between me and the modem (but wired in both directions).

When I try and configure the router using the 'wizard' softward provided, it says that I'm to connnect (via wire) to the router - then it says that I don't need the wizard because I am connected - of course I am it is physically attached.

When I do the system diagnostic provided with the laptop when purchased (config free, I think), it says that the IP address is not correct (or something of the sort). The IP address now is off of a different account. I've tried the manual plug in of the IP address I get from the hard wired connection and that doesn't work, neither does the automatic option.

Oh yeah, I do have the card switched on (only took me three weeks to figure that one out the first time I set it up)

Help? Any advice?

Thanks! jen

FYI - I did manage to get it connected last night. Have no idea what exactly I did but it's working.
