This is kinda a stupid question but after 3 months this "little" problem is starting to bug me. I don't know how this problem started but now everytime I go into Word this problem occours. When I'm typing and I want to replace some text with different text I go to highlight the text then I start typing the stuff I want in it's place. Normally this should erase the initial text and replace it with the recently typed words. Instead the old text stays put and the new typed text is automatically inserted right before the original text.

Also when I highlight a word and press delete, nothing happens, in order to erase words I have to use the backspace key. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
