Hello,

When I am in any application (e.g. Excel, Word, Adobe) and I click File > Save As, the save as box appears but the icons on the left are missing (e.g. my computer, network places etc.)

See attachment (this is what I am missing)

How do I get the side bar?

Thanks

Hey,

The attachment shows what I dont have, that was taken from another computer. What you see in the attachment is what I am missing on my save as box.

I can try a system restore, any other suggestions?

Do you have TweakUI installed? If you don't, go here, download TweakUI, install it and start the program.

Expand the Common Dialogs tree and click on Places Bar. Make sure it's set to Show default places. Click Ok.

You should be good to go. If it's already set to Show default places then set it to Hide places bar, click Apply and then set it back before you click Ok.
