[size=4]I have been using Giga Pocket for the past two years without any problem. Yesterday I successfully transferred a 2-hour VHS tape to my HDD using Gigpocket and then saved it as an MPEG1 file, which is my normal procedure. When I tried to do it a second time with another VHS tape recorded the same way, I captured the VHS OK but when I tried to save as an MPEG-1 file it kept failing at 15%. I tried again and it failed at 8%. I then tried a smaller VHS capture and that worked fine. I didn’t change any settings and I have 75GB free on my HDD. Since I have always been able to do this in the past, I am at a stalemate. Any suggestions

Thanks

This is an update -- I continued to explore various issue including memory allocation and corrupt program since the larger files were not working but smaller ones were. I used the SONY Vaio recovery to reinstall GigaPocket and DV Gate but still had the problem. I them retried the original 2 hour file that worked and it worked again. The culprit turned out to be the next two files (each 2 hours) which for some reason were corrupt. I redid them and it worked fine.
