Automatic updates is finding it, it shows up when i run autoupdate manually as well. it dl's fine, installs fine, and seems to be in order... except for the fact that it keeps... doing it. the same update, been doing it for about 3 days now. mal-ware of some sort, i assume? any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Garret

Hi garretbcripe...

Rather than uninstalling the update or turning the autoupdate feature off, try the following...

Click Start, point to All Programs, and click on Windows Update. Once the update page has scanned your cumputer, you will see two buttons..."Express" and "Custom"...click on the "Custom" button. Your machine will be scanned for available updates. Locate the offending update in the resulting list and click the + sign next to it. Just below the update description will be a checkbox that will let you "hide" this update. check that box and close out of Windows Update. This update will no longer try to install.
