I want to link a cell in Excel 2002 to a specific line of text in an Adobe pdf.

Can this be done?

I am not sure you can link directly to a cell in excel but why not link to the excel file and add a note on the text in the pdf for the cell to view

I am starting in the Excel file and I want to link out to a pdf.

For example cell A2 links to page 2 of pdf file.

That kind of thing

You can insert a hyperlink and point to a pdf file that will open at the first page.

I found some suggestions that you can open a pdf at a specific page by appending "#page=3" to the end of the hyperlink however I couldn't get it to work

You may need to write your own code or purchase an add-in to open at a specific page.
