I have the exact same problem. The only thing is that my log file is slightly different, so I can't follow your recommendations exactly. Can you please tell me what I should fix?

There is this little desktop adware thing that blocks my desktop and says:

"Warning! You're in Danger! All you do with computer is stored forever in your hard disk. When you visit sites, send emails... all your actions are logged. and it is impossible to remove them with standard tools. your datas is still available for forensics. and in some cases for your boss , your friends, your wife, and your children"

All in caps. Then it says to click here to remove it.

Clearly this is a cheap malware, as no legit program would annoyingly advertise like that. I tried everything to get rid of it. I ran through the sticky topic and did everything, from virus scan to Spybot and Ad-Aware. I didn't install the Service Pack 1a yet, though I know I should, but I want to get rid of this little annoyance before I do that since I don't want to take any unnecessary risks if the service pack screws up my computer since I have malware.

Download CWShredder, update it. Then open the program and click ‘fix’.

Download Pocket Killbox.
Unzip the files to a folder like c:\killbox\

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing so please:* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

If you were unable to find any of the files then please follow these additional instructions:

Run Killbox (doubleclick Killbox.exe).

Click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.

The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.

Let the system reboot.

Find and doubleclick the file cleanup312.exe.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Cookies
* Prefetch
* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, log off and log on again. This will remove files that were in use during the scan.

Download AdAware SE , update it. Then do a scan and have it remove spyware.

Reboot your computer and post a fresh log for me to check.
