Game ping is going crazy!

O.k. lately my ping inside games have been going crazy. Sometimes they stay low at 30-50 or what ever and then sometimes they just jump to the likes of 200-800.

Any ideas on whats happening?

Try bypassing your router (make sure you have the proper software firewalls inplace!) this will help you determine if it is the modem for your connection. Often times ISP's will point to anything else other than them and their equipment. Also, if its a DSL connection ask how many feet you are away from the CO, they will know what your talking about.

If testing that way fixes the problem, check your router settings.
