The one thing I keep forgeting to say is I can't boot into windows, only safe mode.

I unchecked all under the general tab, restarted the computer and it is still freezing at the second win98 logo screen.

OK, we're spinning our wheels with this one....

In safe mode, do a search for all cab files

*.cab

if found, where are they located (typically a folder called C:\options or c:\windows\options)

Finaly got the computer to boot into windows :tazz: ;) :) ;)
I deleted all the disk controlers, restarted the pc and boom it worked. Now all I have to do is get my cd-r drive to work.

No, but I do see yellow ! before the ide controlers.

It says that the driver is not loaded, I am thinking about trying to install win98 again in dos, because my cd drive works in that mode.

wait...select the ide drive with the yellow !, double click, ask it to update driver....point it at c:\windows\inf

back to device manager. What do you see?

Can you tell me anything about this system? Motherboard ?

Also, the yellow ! you see, what exactly is it before? Primary? Secondary?
