F.E.A.R. Restarts computer or Windows Error

I recently purchased a new Mobo (ABIT KN9 SLI) and new processor (AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 3800). I had a p4 3.2 ghz with a intel board. I was tired of intel so i switched to amd. I just got my pc up an running with amd setup and after i installed F.E.A.R. and start to play single player i get like 5-10 min into the game and my computer restarts, or the game frezes and closes out of the game. I have the 1.0 Retail patch because my internet is to slow to update the game. I am on satellite internet :blink:

. All of my specs hard drive video card everything is the same since i switched to AMD. Will updating the game solve this problem or is there another reason this is happening. :whistling:

Let's make sure you have the latest drivers, head over to ATi and download the correct video drivers. If this doesn't help your problem, try downloading The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer and lastly, updating your game to the latest patches/fixes!
