I recently purchased a new Lexmark E238 printer and new laptop. I have the printer installed on a desktop which I access via an 802.11.g wireless network. I am getting the following error message when I try to print from the laptop:

"The Printer has not yet responded, but the microsoft office program may be able to proceed without printer information. Do you want to continue to wait for the printer".

I have searched for solutions to this problem and the only recommendation I have seen is to install the printer driver on the laptop as if it was a local printer. I am still having problems printing from the laptop.

Any suggestions?

I have seen no mention of this on the Microsoft website. What is the best way to get support for this problem?

Thanks,

M
