My Network Places is blank

hey, i recently did a reformat of my computer and since i have done that my network places hasnt been working at all. i dont know if i accidently messed with something in the registry but nothing shows up in the network places and when i click show work group computers nothing changes. i dont want to have to reinstall windows again. does anyone know a way to fix this? or is it hopeless?

No its not hopeless, lol

You will have to set it up for networking again, enable file sharing, that kind of thing.

Did you do this yourself the last time?

ya this isnt the first time i have set up a computer, i have done it lots of times but never has it done this. people on the network can see me and access my files that i am sharing just fine but i have no way of seeing their computers

Oh I see, no I never had that happen before, didn’t realize it did “work” just not showing up on your end.

From your question it sounded like you just needed to set it up for networking again, sorry no, I can’t help you with that problem.
