I'm trying overburning with NERO 7.0.1.2 but that isn't working.
The tab 'generation of short leadout' I can't check (It is in a light grey color). But I can check 'overburn disk-at-once' and I have set it on 85 minutes. But thats doesn't seem to work.
I'm getting the following error:

So What am I doing wrong?
In the error you can read that overburning mode is set on NO:
"1:37:23 #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 291
Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD)"
But I had just set it on 85minutes. :whistling:

Is it possible my CD-writer is outdated and can't handel overburning? Or do I need an other Nero version?

Thanx for any reply, Fab4.

Overburning greatly increases the chance of burn failure and can damage the drive(so says the great big warning message nero gives you) you might want to turn down the burn speed or just dont overburn the disks.

I have done a overburn test (attachment)
So normally it should work. But it doesn't (yet)
I'll try the Nero Burning Rom 7.5.1.1 (Commercial Trial)

Or I need to find good software to split an AVI-file.
I've tryed Easy Video Splitter 2.01 but the audio and picture is not synchroon anymore.
Perhabs you know a better program? I have alsow tryed VirtualDUB, but I don't seem to understand how you are supposed to opperate this program.

I can't use the trail. It doesn't work on my Windows ME OS. :whistling:
But I'm looking for an other version.
To be continued

Try this with RW discs because it watermarks trial output, though it will check if it is the PC or the writing programme

http://www.vso-softw...nvert_x_to_dvd/

7MB and it will convert everything but wmv

If you want the disc to play in a standalone DVD player then the file should be MPEG

If you want to play them only on a PC, you can burn them as data files

It should take an hour to convert 4.3GB, once it gets to 5% the time remaining will be more accurate

Keith, I think there is a communication problem.

I want to write a 703Mbyte avi- file on a cd for 702Mbyte. (But the overburn test showed I could write up to 742Mbyte on a cd)
I have a standalone DVDplayer that can handle DIVX-files, so that no problem.
I don't have a DVD-writer, so that option is out the window :whistling:

I have a PHILIPS CDRW1610A writer and I'm using windows Me

Frankly I have never heard of 800MB CDR.

Tomorrow a fiend will lend me his 'Nero 7 Premium Reloaded v.7.5.02 - ISO - Multilanguage' installation cd.
Perhaps that will work.
