Good afternoon everyone,

I'm working for a company in my town doing computer sales and services, nothing real major (small PA town) and we got a Gateway in the other day that was restarting itself every 58seconds. We found the issue was with Service Pack 2, so we took it off, problem solved...except of course that come October 10th, SP1 is no longer supported, so we try to put SP2 back on and we continually get the following message:

An error in updating your system has occurred

The only option is to click ok, and then it says installation of SP2 was not completed. This result was found in installation from both a CD and the web. I researched this and found the error was a status_setup_error, with a code of 0x8007f070, however all my google searches tell me it's a Windows .net issue I believe, or a service pack therein, nothing about SP2. I searched your board and found nothing so I thought I'd post. Suggestions?

Thanx
