Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I downloaded Nokia PC suite 5.8 from their website and tried to install it. I got an error message; "cabinet file Data1.cab is corrupt." It wouldn't install. I contacted their support who told me it was a windows installer problem and they couldn't help.
I don't have a full installation disc for my operating system, just a disc I got from Tiny the pc manufacturer.
It runs Windows 98se. 256mb ram. P3 700 mz.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this corrupt file?
Thanks very much,
Jim.

Hi gerryf,
Thank you for your reply, but when I downloaded and tried to install the file it said it already existed and wouldn't install.
Is there anything else I can try. Thanks for your help so far,
Jim.

I assume that you tried to redownload the file?

Second, and this is an interesting, albeit long shot, could you search for cabinet.bll and cabview.dll..right click, choose properties...what version are they (under version tab).
