I need some information regarding zip files. I previously sent two graphic files(scanned images) to a friend in Louisiana and I compressed them into zip files to hasten the speed of transmission. So after I had sent the messae containing the zip files as attachment, I proceeded to open up my "sent items" under Outlook Express.

When I left clik and open file it is indicated as My Scans.zip and t ype of file is WinRAR.zip Archive. When I further open this file I get a screen whhich indicates Scan 0001 tif as an example. Where do I go from here to view the images?

By the way it is also indicated in the title bar that I have 20 days to purchase a license. Does that mean that after those 20 days, and I do no purchase licence, that I can no longer send compressed files.

Have you extracted the files? Winrar is an exellent program. Like Winzip it will nag you if you don't aquire a licence. It will still function. Zip files are a common compression format and Windows XP has the functionality built in.

Bzip7 and ZipGenius are freeware programs that will do the samething.

Looks to me like a Spybot S&D scan log.
