Sorry I think I missed your previous reply.

First off, you have 2 AntiVirus programs running at the same time. Anti-Virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash.

You currently have McAfee and AVG, please uninstall/disable one of them and leave the other.

=====================================

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
  • Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
  • Do not do anything with it yet.
=====================================

Please open HijackThis, click Do a system scan only, and then place a checkmark beside each of these entries:

After placing all the checkmarks, close all windows (except HJT), and then hit Fix Checked. When it finishes, exit HJT.

Reboot into Safe Mode
  • Restart your computer.
  • Before the Windows logo appear, tap F8 repeatedly.
  • A menu should appear, select Safe Mode from the menu using your arrow keys and then hit Enter on your keyboard.
  • This will take a while than usual, so just wait.
=====================================

Locate and delete the following file(s), if present : C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmkqc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll

=====================================

Open the SmitfraudFix folder.
  • Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd.
  • Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press Enter to delete infected files.
  • You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
  • The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".
  • The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
  • A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
  • The report can also be found here - C:\rapport.txt
  • NOTE : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.
=====================================

Please download & Install - FixWareout.exe

When you reach the final page of the installation process, make sure Run fixit is checked.
Follow the on-screen prompts & reboot your computer when instructed to do so.

NOTE : Do not be alarmed if your computer takes longer than usual to load -- this is normal

I was unable to delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll , as it was being used (god knows where)

I noticed that there were extra .sys 's (ususally i can see "CPUCOOL.SYS" at the end, but i didn't see that, so i checked what was running and, for some odd reason, found things non-crucial running, so i made an hjt log of it.

I was unable to delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll , as it was being used (god knows where)

Ok we'll use a tool on it later.

Also, please make sure you do this before you proceed to the rest of my instructions:

You have 4 AntiVirus running all at the same time - BitDefender, AVG, Avast, Mcafee.
I already warned you about it a couple of times, but you seem to ignore it.
Please uninstall the 3 other AVs and leave one. You don't need that much of AVs.

=============

Please download SpywareBlaster
  • Install and update SpywareBlaster with the latest definitions.
  • After you have updated, click the button - enable protection for all unprotected items
Please download MVP's host file
  • Double-click Host.zip, then double-click MVPS.bat and allow it to run.
=====================================

Please open HijackThis, click Do a system scan only, and then place a checkmark beside each of these entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {debb8b64-dfb2-461e-adb5-0171506b3362} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll

After placing all the checkmarks, close all windows (except HJT), and then hit Fix Checked. When it finishes, exit HJT.

=====================================

Download Killbox
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select Delete on Reboot.
  • Click on the All Files button.
  • Copy the words below (inside the box) by left clicking and covering all the text then right click inside the highlighted area and choose Copy:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSJOY.EXE

  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes when prompted to restart your computer. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt.
NOTES :
  • If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.
  • If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.
=====================================

I see that Viewpoint is installed.

Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player are Viewpoint components which are installed as a

side effect of installing other software, most notably AOL and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). Viewpoint Manager is responsible for

managing and updating Viewpoint Media Player’s components. Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of

malware
since it is installed without user's approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". In 2006, this may change, read

Viewpoint to Plunge Into Adware.

I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following

programs if present:
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player
Then delete this folder, if present: C:\Program Files\Viewpoint

=====================================

Then post a new Hijackthis log.

i thought i forgot to mention something...

the folder "C:\Program Files\Mcafee.com\" doesn't exist, and i could only find it in the registries. so for Mcafee, I need more help with. (But i'll try a search for it's folder)

Bitdefender and avast i forgot to check for, but i'll look for it now. (I kept intending to do it after i did everything else but forgot to)

Massive apologies on that :whistling:

I shall edit on my results for the AV

EDIT:

I found a couple more folders and files of McAfee, found something of BitDefender, and cannot find Avast...

Here's an HJT log. (note that i DID NOT go through with the rest you said, as you instructed)

Hello :whistling:

Have you tried uninstalling the antiviruses in Add/Remove Programs? (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove)

Because you should uninstall them instead of deleting their folders.
Tell me what you want to keep from the 4 AVs so I can help you remove them.

Ok, for the mean time, could you go to Start > Control Panel > Add/remove programs
And then check if you can find these AV's listed:

McAfee
BitDefender
Avast
AVG

If you found them all, then uninstall them all except the one that you want to keep. For example you want to keep AVG as your AntiVirus, then just uninstall McAfee, Bitdefender, and Avast.

Hi,

Ok. Looks like they're already uninstalled because there were no files/folders present. So they just left some regsitry entries, but there's no really corresponding files.

Can you post a new Hijackthis log so we can remove those.

  • Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select Delete on Reboot.
  • Click on the All Files button.
  • Copy the words below (inside the box) by left clicking and covering all the text then right click inside the highlighted area and choose Copy:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll

  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the Unregister .dll Before Deleting button.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes when prompted to restart your computer.
=====================================

Delete this folder:

c:\program files\Deskma~\ (note: this folder could have other letters at the end other than "Deskma", so just make sure that it has this file inside it: DeskMateAutoUpdate.exe)

=====================================

Then post a new Hijackthis log.

That looks good. :whistling:

Just fix these two with Hijackthis:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {debb8b64-dfb2-461e-adb5-0171506b3362} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\Iyvec2.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: Iyvec2 - Iyvec2.dll (file missing)

Then:

Please download VundoFix.exe to your Desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
