So I tried burning a bunch of exe's to a DVD using Nero and when i put the cd in to try and open the EXE's it says something about a CRC check, and it doesn't open. I wanted to burn them cause they were exe's for certain antivirus software that i want to have just in case someone has a bad virus and there internet gets blocked from the virus( has happened to me before). And i was wondering why it doesn't work, and if there is a way i can get it to work.

If you download any or all of these and then burn them to disc, you can install them on any PC, whenever you need to

CRC errors when reading a CD is not caused by the type of file burnt to the CD, it's basically a message that means "this file is corrupt". It's caused by a problem when the disk was burnt or when reading the disk.

Try burning/reading the CD in a different drive, try a different disk, or try different burning software. I'd suggest you use a CD-R/W for your purposes because you'll need to update the virus definitions often.

CRC errors can also be a sign that one or more of your RAM modules are faulty, or that one of the modules is not totally compatible with the others or with your system.
