CD RW/DVD DRIVE PROBLEMS BURNING CDS

I used to be able to burn cd's good & quick but recently I tried burning a cd sometimes it will burn 1 up to 5 songs then the drive ejects the disc and and error message saying something like windows media player cant write those files something like that i tried lowering the writing speed all the way down to 2x and it still is messed up please help me.

I have a dell inspiron 1150 windows xp home edition laptop . with a cd rw/dvd-rom
