Need help with Quicktime player

I tried to install Quicktime player and this messge comes up. There is a problem with this windows insatller package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Please help.

It is file version 7.1.3.100. When I downloaded it is was supposed to be 6.5. Sorry for this mistake. Do you know where I can get a version of Quicktime palyer that can actually play on windows 98?

Sure, this website is the best for older applications like Quicktime as I was looking for the program myself on my old Windows 98SE machine a little while ago.

Look for quicktime i think under the media area.

Have you tried using Quicktime Alternative it's freeware and opens all Quicktime files.

I get sound but no picture instead there is a white screen.
