I can hear MP3 files and background music so my speakers work fine. But I can't hear WAV files! Help please!

P.S: I'm using Windows Media Player but when I use Quicktime and any other program the wav files work fine.

im not sure if this will help but u might try opening WMP click on options then click" file types" under makeWMP the default player for these files make sure there is a check in the box next to "Windows audio file(wav)" if this doesnt work its possible the player doesnt support the codec that was used to make the file theres more on this in the help with using the library under the options tab . hope this helps .................

Hi Cheat_DEcoder...

Open Control Panel and double click on "Folder Options". Under the "File Types" tab, scroll down in the list to WAV and click on it. What program is currently assoiated with it?

That looks good.

Do you get an error message when you try to play a wav file or does it play and you just can't hear it?

Guys, duplicate file deleter is amazing, i highly recommend that you can try to delete the unused files and duplicate ones & try again..

Good Luck
