Your computer is fairly clean at the moment, though I note that you have MessengerPlus3 installed, so you can expect spyware infestations soon.

That program has a bad history of surrepticiously loading spyware in the background (none appears at present). (google MessengerPlus and Spyware)

Furthermore, the most recent version of the program is purported to cause slow down problems, especially if you neglected to uncheck the sponsor option during setup.

I didn't agree to the sponsor programs to be installed
Am I still at risk or is messengerPlus still going to cause me problems?

If my computer is fairly clean this still doesn't reslove my main problem
Laggy computer when playing music (Music skips/ Mouse lags and skips)

I'm running a dimension 2400 Dell PC, got it last May

I have a 160 with windows on it
And a second drive a 120 with most of my files, (music movies etc)
Playing anything from the 120 and running anything on either makes music skip and go choppy, Computer just lags really bad

Any idea of how I could fix this without getting a new PC or a single bigger hard drive as to not lost my data?

First, I would remove the MessengerPlus... as stated, even people who didn't agree to sponsorship have described the slowness. (and frankly I don't trust the program--earlier versions never mentioned spyware, and the program was malicious in how it installed spyware...ie, nothing was installed at startup, but then three days later it would start installing spyware...making it difficult for people to connect the two).

Second....ahh, the 2400...dreadful machine. Very, very disappointed in Dell on this one.

You have integrated video. No AGP expansion because no AGP slot. Came with 128mb of ram! This was insane. The one I saw had 256mb after doubling, and this is still inadequate as it shares memory with the video....can't recall if it takes 8 or 32mb, or if it slides based on avaialble ram...all in all a wholy inadequate machine for Windows XP out of the box.

A couple things you can do....
add memory....no less than 512mb
remove startup programs
turn down windows eye-candy (right click MY COMPTUER, choose PROPERTIES, choose ADVANCED, press settings...turn everything off, reboot, then start adding things back
