Hi. My computer is freezing whenever I try to click on a link. It happens when I am on a site or if someone emails me something with a go to link. I will click on the link and it starts to come up but the screen stays blank and I cant do anything else. I can usually shut down the internet with Ctrl/Alt/Del but sometime even that wont work. It's driving me NUTS!!!! I have AVG, Adaware, spywareblaster, and McCaffee but, of course, none of those are helping. Please help me.

Then click Fix checked and reboot into safe mode.

Then open the Control Panel and under Add/Remove programs Uninstall all the ViewPoint software.

Boot back to normal and start Updating Java and Clearing Cache

• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Java Icon (coffee cup) in the Control Panel.
• It will say "Java Plug-in" under the icon.
  Please find the update button or tab in the Java Control Panel. Update your Java then reboot.
• If you are unable to update you can manually update by going here:
  • http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
• After the reboot, go back into the Control Panel and double-click the Java Icon.
• Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.

Then I need your help with one other thing that might be an issue.
I see you have the Kerio Firewall and AVG antivirus.

But I also noticed some McAfee software, but I can't tell what exactly.
If this is a firewall or antivirus it could be conflicting with one of the others.
So please let me know which one you are actually using.

I reran the hijack log and fixed the ones you mentioned but I cannot remember how to reboot in safe mode. I read thru the rest of your instructions and I think I understand the rest of it if you could walk me thru the rebooting thing.

Shut down Windows using the Start > Reboot buttons
After the initilaization (white lines in the black screen before the XP logo shows up)
start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers may display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.

Ok, I think that I have finished everything.
A couple of notes: The files you wanted deleted if present, I'm assuming they would be on the black screen just after rebooting and I didnt see any of them.
Also, when I removed the viewpoint toolbar it asked if I wanted to do it in safe mode or completly. I choose safe mode, then it went to a screen that said "cannot display webpage". When I closed that out and looked in the control panel again it wasn't there so I assume its been removed.
Last, and just a FYI, whenever I restart my comp a box pops up that says "GetProcessImageFilenameW cannot be located PSAPI.DILL." I dont think its related but just in case I thought I'd better tell you just in case.
I have firefox installed but I havent started using it yet.
As for AVG and McCaffee, until today I didnt know that they were the same. I thought AVG was another adaware. but between the two I want to keep AVG. I can uninstall McCafee.

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

After the reboot run HijackThis and post a new log.

When I did killbox I didnt get any messages but when i pasted from clipboard, only the first line showed in the display box. Maybe the others just werent seen, but thought you needed to know. I also deleted McCafee.
