Can i scan a EXE file for a virus?

Just curious because I scaned this one .EXE file with AVG and it found nothing but im still a little suspicious.What are the chance's there could still be a virus in in the EXE file AVG couldent find?. Thanks

Make sure you scan with latest virus-database update. To be really sure (as sure as you can be anyhow) install the free Avast Home Edition but disable it's on-access scanning 'cos you mustn't have two of them running together. When installed, update it (iAVS update) then right click the exe file and choose to scan it with Avast (represented by letter 'a' inside a blue globe).
